@cyrusdotes sorry that it's not working well for you!
Some details that would help me debug..
C:\Program Files\GBFR Logs\logs
, is there a GBFR Logs.log
file that you can share?%AppData%\gbfr-logs
, is there a gbfr-logs.txt
that you can share as well?thanks for the prompt reply, i might need to hit the sack soon so pardon my late replies after this, i'm on SGT (UTC +8). GBFR Logs.log
additional information requested:
thanks for the prompt reply, i might need to hit the sack soon so pardon my late replies after this, i'm on SGT (UTC +8). GBFR Logs.log
additional information requested:
- Windows 11
- as attached
- no repository "..\gbfr-logs" under %AppData%
You mentioned you checked that no files were missing, that includes the hook.dll as well? 🤔 Just double-checking, since it seems like either it never had the hook file to be able to inject into the running game process or wasn't able to find your game process.
This is on the latest 1.1.3 version as well, right?
that's right - all files are present.
and version 1.1.3 checked.
if it helps to schedule a time for you to comms with me over a call and either allow you access into my computer or via a screen share do let me know.
EDIT: no idea if this information helps, but if i launch GBFR Logs first then GBFR, a prompt stating "Found game.." appears. unfortunately, that would be the one and only prompt that happens. unlike the working one on my other computer where entering town prompts "Entering New Area" etc.
Sorry.. this definitely seems difficult to debug. Can you try this next step?
hook-dbg.dll
from https://github.com/false-spring/gbfr-logs/releases/tag/0.0.10C:\Program Files\GBFR Logs
(you can keep it named as hook-dbg.dll
, and it will use it)You should see a console window open up with additional details, it should look something like this:
downloaded hook-dbg.dll
and added to installation path C:\Program Files\GBFR Logs
as requested, reference to above screenshot.
-> Launched GBFR. -> Launched GBFR Logs with and without administrative rights. (tried both) -> Completed a quest with damage events. -> No console pop-ups, ref. above screenshot with GBFR Logs launched with administrative rights and no cmd window in the taskbar.
I had the same problem after updating the system to Windows 11, the program only detected whether the game was launched or not, and the rest of the states were unresponsive
Meter isn't updating, logs are not saved as well.
Program runs fine, compared file repository to my working version on another computer, no files are missing.
Steps taken:
And countless loops of restarts and reinstallations. Unable to pinpoint issue, assistance is appreciated.
