Meanwhile there appears to be no difference in side effects for 400-600μg/kg ivermectin compared to 200μg/kg, so it is probably reasonable to default to using the higher dose for acute treatment:
Then EC50 is definitely hittable.
Only 50% of patients, receiving 0.6 mg/kg attained a significant reduction of viral lifetime and since taking Ivermectin on a fatty meal (instead of sober with water) increases its bioavailability (tissue levels) by 250%, it is postulated that the meal was the factor - and vital.
Seems safe at higher doses with no difference in side effects
"...indicating that the accumulation of ivermectin given every fourth day is minimal. This study demonstrated that ivermectin is generally well tolerated at these higher doses and more frequent regimens."
Finally: Calu-3 data for ivermectin.
As suspected, EC50 is much lower vs. Vero.
Still not quite hittable at 200μg/kg, but ~5x lower than Vero figure.
In light of this, results claiming better antiviral effects at 400-600μg/kg are plausible.
Likewise, prophylaxis is plausible.
