finally, mmc
and octave-mmclab
are now part of Fedora Linux, install those using
sudo dnf install mmc octave-mmclab
the packaged version is the latest v1.7.9 (https://github.com/fangq/mmc/releases/tag/v1.7.9) with mmcl support
