Can't delete the Event Categories #89

I'm the beginner of this plugin. In fact, I download it yesterday. I chosen the "Gregorian Calendar" for my first calendar. But there are too many categories for me. So I modified some categories and deleted others. But, those categories I deleted will come back after the setting page be closed. Even more, I deleted all events (including those created by author), and categories can still not be deleted.

Is there something fool I did? Or I missed somthing important? Beg for help.

I've had issues with this myself. I currently end up going into the data.json file of the plugin to remove certain things before adding new entries using the plugin, I'd recommend trying this for the time being. It seems there is an issue with the operation that is supposed to remove things like new events and even some stuff like the removal of new days and months. I opened #85 in reference to this as well. Hopefully, one of the contributors who have had more experience with the part of the plugin that controls the read/writes to the data.json can assist with this as I've not had the time to look into it and little I did bore no fruit.
