app field in android tablet: log type: observation quantities frame: select measure: count enter value: a number select unit: a unit in taxonomy enter label: none

add another quantity: doesn't run and the quantities registration there isn't in the observation

mstenta commented 4 years ago

Thanks for the bug report @bonushenricus - I was able to replicate this on https://farmOS.app.

In summary, I'm seeing two (probably related) issues:

  1. A quantity added to a log created in Field Kit does not sync to the server.
  2. The "Add another quantity" button doesn't do anything.
bonushenricus commented 4 years ago

Thanks @mstenta The first issue is not exactly: 1 A quantity to a log created in Field Kit app does not registered at all, neither in offline mode.

Thanks for reporting, @bonushenricus.

I've fixed the issue and added some improvements to quantities (you should now be able to edit previously created quantities). We've had a few other crucial bug fixes recently that we need to release, so you should see these changes roll out sometime this week, in v0.4.16.

Let us know if you encounter any more problems after that, and thanks again for helping us improve the application!

Hi @jgaehring and thank you I'm updating the app. Quantities now I'm able to edit and add just when I add previously a quantities in farmos web. The app does not allow you to create the first record of quantities in a log. Stay healthy

mstenta commented 4 years ago

@bonushenricus the new version has not been released yet. Look in your Field Kit main menu to see which version you are running (probably v0.4.15).

v0.4.16 will include the fix.

jgaehring commented 4 years ago

v0.4.16 went out to the Play Store (Android) early this morning. It should be on the App Store (iOS) by tomorrow. I will push it up to https://farmos.app some time today.

@bonushenricus I can reopen this issue once you confirm that you are on v0.4.16, and that you are still experiencing the issue. Thanks for following up!

bonushenricus commented 4 years ago

Sorry I saw that in the Play Store the app was to be updated and I thought it was the version with the change. Yes now it runs very well! Thank you

jgaehring commented 4 years ago

Great! I'm glad you brought this to our attention and we were able to fix it. Let us know if you find any other bugs. Thanks again! :slightly_smiling_face:

With great pleasure I will participate also collecting the reports of the farmers I follow to whom I have opened an account. There is a woman farmer who has an iPad. I sent her the link to "test flight". Will it be updated there too?

Yes, but the iOS release took a little longer to prepare this time because of other issues (#323). It's still in review, but should hopefully be available on Test Flight by the end of the day, or tomorrow.

@bonushenricus, the iOS app went live on Test Flight around midnight (EST) last night.

On an unrelated note, I was wondering if your friend could give it a test run and make sure she's not experiencing the the same issue another farmer is experiencing. Instructions for testing are here: https://github.com/farmOS/farmOS-client/issues/324#issuecomment-605056659
