second in timestamp log #336

Hello It would be interesting if the seconds could also be recorded in the logs timestamp. Why? I use a professional camera outside the device, to make excellent macros on diseases and insects. So I take the observations and the place of with the app, then I need to upload the photos later on the basis of the synchronization of the time between the observation and the photo. Good health!

Oh that's an interesting workflow @bonushenricus !

Technically speaking, Logs do store seconds in their timestamp, but that level of granularity is not exposed in Field Kit. And I wonder if adding it would be a little TOO granular for MOST other use-cases. Perhaps if there was an optional way to "show seconds" in the Field Kit Edit Log screen, but hide them by default, that would be the best of both worlds.

In the meantime, I wonder if you could add the photo's filename to the Log's Note's field for reference. eg: IMG_12345 - and then match it up that way later.

I do tend to agree here, at least for the My Logs module as it stands. However, we're in the process of adding more customized modules to Field Kit, and one of the more popular requests is to have a dedicated Observation, or Scouting, module: #275. Perhaps it would make more sense to display seconds, or have the option to display seconds, in such a module. Note that we still need to find the funding and resources to implement it, but in that other issue we discuss the possibility of crowd-funding, which I've discussed a litlte more on the forum.
