Supposedly, the Chrono Cross remaster has the Satellaview prequel, Radical Dreamers, as a ROM within the game files. Doing my own investigation revealed that upon unzipping the “radicaldreamers.dat” file, gives you a “game.rom” file (the other files within are uninteresting).
However, when trying to run the ROM in an emulator (with the BS-X BIOS), it will not load. At first I assumed that it simply was not a ROM, but the file length is exactly the length of a normal 2MB ROM (2097152 bytes). Furthermore, the original game was only 1MB as it was intended to be downloaded onto a Satellaview memory pack. So is this actually a ROM? If so, what needs to done in order to restore it to a playable state?
