Hi @hdorgeval , This is great! Thank you. By the way, we have done some other works that you might find interesting; for example, digitalization of Pizzi'd Persian handbook. You can find them here: https://github.com/gregorycrane/Shahname

Hi @farnoosh-shamsian , thanks for your feedback. By looking at your repo and at gregorycrane's repo, I admit I have still a lot to learn on the Shahnahme. Maybe you could tell me what is the ultimate language I should learn : is it persian, is it farsi, is it pehlvi, is it zend?, and where or with whom could I learn such a language?
Do you think, it could be interesting, that I leverage all the tools (ocr => markdown => html) I have developed in my repo to build a multi-lingual version of the Shahname?
Because the work I have started is so huge, I am trying to automate as much as possible every aspect of converting a book (starting with the French version as a first step) into a markdown format with a content that is grammatically correct. The next step will be to apply machine learning and AI to be able to incorporate other languages in an automated way, and finally be able to auto generate a nice to read web site.
Thanks
Dear @hdorgeval, I think a multilingual version would be wonderful! It's great that you are interested in learning the language as well. Shahnameh is written in Persian or Farsi (both are different names for the same language. To be more clear, the Persian language is called Farsi among it's speakers.) I think this calls for a much longer conversation. If you're interested, just drop me a line. My address is farnoosh.shamsian /at/ gmail. I look forward to hearing from you.
Hi @farnoosh-shamsian , thank you for your feedback!
I will start to see how I can setup a multi-language framework in my repo.
Hi @farnoosh-shamsian , I just started to implement multi-language support in my repo.
I will do it in an incremental way in order to not break current web site and not break pages already indexed by google. I plan that it would take me about two months to isolate the fr
part in a global multi-language infrastructure.
After that operation , it will be possible for anyone to start adding a new language version of the shahnahme.
Hi @farnoosh-shamsian, I finished isolating the french
version, so that anyone can now add a new language in a completely isolated way.
Regards.
Hi @farnoosh-shamsian , I am also working on the Shahnameh. This GitHub repo produces the following web site : https://www.lelivredesrois.com/
Though everything is in french, I was wondering if it could be interesting to you.
