Corps Don't Use it but members do. #13

I'm in a situation where I am probably the only person in my corp and probably alliance that uses tripwire but because I am not a corp director I cant access the additional admin features.

I would there to be an option for players like to be able to claim control over admin for the purpose of management and then "IF" a corp director eventually comes along and wants to take control give him a Claim Control button that would override mine, that way I can fully control it and if my corp ever decided to get into it in a more important way they can easily take over.

In this case you have 3 options:

  1. You become a director :)
  2. You host your own, custom Tripwire server and do whatever you want with it. The disadvantage to this is that you must own/rent a server and know some basic stuff about Linux server administration. To give you an estimate on how much this costs: around 10$ per month.
  3. You ask Daimian Mercer (the creator of Tripwire) nicely and present him the situation. He may or may not grant you admin roles. He is active on Tweetfleet on Slack or on the official Tripwire repo: https://bitbucket.org/daimian/tripwire/overview

However, there's not much you can do with admin roles, honestly, other than add corp-wide masks and see who's active.

I was looking to see if I could add other corps so that an alliance could share the same data, not sure if its been thought of but tripwire could be a brilliant way for corps to share genral sov intel as well as exploration.

To add other corps you would need 2 things. First, one of the directors of a corp in the alliance has to create a mask and grant access to the other corporations (manually). Second, all the other directors have to add that mask to their corporation mask list so that it will become visible for their members (to be selected in settings).
