Using on two PCs with one account #321

Hi. I have a question - If I use the same account on two PCs in Chrome, are the dials the same or can I change them? And if the dials can be different, which one will then be restored from backup? Thx.

Hello, They will be the same, although to synchronize thumbnails too, you need to enable thumbnails sync. in the Options page / Thumbnails tab. There are two options for having "different" dials on two devices (using the same account),

  1. each device can use different "default group" - group that is opened when you open New tab page. Simply right click group you want to set as default, select "Edit group" and then in the Settings tab check the "default" checkbox.
  2. you can disable dials synchronization completely on one of your devices - in the Options page / Synchronization. Then whatever dials changed you do, they won't be send to the server or vice versa. In this case, make sure to make a regular backups!
