Should we do something like that? http://www.db-main.be/sites/db-main.eu/files/LOGIC.jpg

Okay I'll get started with this diagram right now.

Making good progress there, decided to use LibreOffice Draw instead of Dia as it seems more suited to this kind of task. But now I'm having fun with glue points! http://www.wikihow.com/Use-Charts-and-Diagrams-in-OpenOffice.Org-Draw#Connectors Which apparently can't be added to tables. Oh boy.

But it's coming a long nicely, here's a pic:

Okay, here's what I got so far:

It's all in the repo in .odg and .png format, I'm open for feedback!

"Finally, a discussion about constraints and removing redundant information is expected." quote from the assignment. Does that mean we have to create a report to explain our choices?

nddrylliog commented 12 years ago

Apparently, yes, that's what they expect

greut commented 12 years ago

OOo/LO rocks!! I've put some bits of design decisions into design.md already.

greut commented 12 years ago

Did you put everything in there? You really can do it the way you think it can be done no exactly like I did the ER or SQL schema so far. Arguing with code is more real than just bare opinions. Embrace do-ocracy design ;-)

nddrylliog commented 12 years ago

@greut Everything that I saw I put in there, tell me if something's missing, it's kind of now or never :)

greut commented 12 years ago

k, no worries. I'll do it.

nddrylliog commented 12 years ago

@greut Well, glue points are kind of a bitch, I had to hack a round a lot to get it to work, if it's just a few things tell me I can do it
