Would like to help improving this component, but test coverage seems rather low, compared with other components of the Fastify ecosystem.

If it's possible and useful, I think I should start there.

Are there technical constraints preventing us from increasing it?

No, but testing CLIs is sometimes painful and cumbersome.

Is there any point in trying to increase it?

Absolutely!
