Thanks for the feedback! This plugin intentionally doesn't export widgets and some core settings, but I was thinking about it and I think we can add an option to do that. I'll look into it when I have some time.

I'm also interested in seeing a solution for widgets. I just tried another plugin for exporting and importing widgets, and found that if I have a widget area defined that has no widgets set - when I import it completely breaks the theme and removes / hides those widget areas. Obviously not a solution.
I'm hoping that we can use this Customizer Export / Import for helping our clients setup our custom themes faster
Thanks for posting. I want to add support for this, just haven't had the time. I've bumped it up on my todo list and will try to get it implemented in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks so much. That would be incredible!
Please do let me know when you get the widget portion implemented, as we are launching our latest theme on Aug 25th and I would definitely include the widgets if possible. I'll also keep an eye on this issue
I'm planning on looking into if that's possible this month. I'll let you know.
@fastlinemedia are these issues have been fixed?
Hi guys, Great work on the plugin, thanks. From what I can see it does not cover widget functionality, however.
The theme I tested with is Zerif Pro demo: http://themeisle.com/demo/?theme=Zerif%20Pro Located at theme's customizer -> Widgets (at the bottom). Basically this theme is a front-page.php with a loop for printing out section in specific order. Some sections have registered sidebars for them. A total of 6 in this case, managable through Appearance->Widgets and the Customizer as well.
Hope this helps.
