What feature or enhancement do you propose?
A display that does absolutely nothing.

What problem does it solve/What benefit does it provide?
Users could set a notification to play a sound and use the null display to not 
display anything 
visually.

Blind users, in particular, would benefit from not having any speech (either 
Growl-originated 
speech or VoiceOver announcements of visual display windows) talking over the 
sound.

We shouldn't implement this.

We should have action displays and visual displays differentiated, with the 
option to 
use either/or/both.
