IIRC, everybody who's reported this one has been using a 
single-notification-at-a-time display, such as Music Video, Nano, or Bezel.

This is not actually Leopard-specific. We've had a couple of reports on it on 
Snow Leopard, and I can (barely) reproduce it on 10.6.5.

I've committed some code to help debug this in [18c0b5b4a8d5]. In the next 
beta, when this crash occurs, please retrieve any output from GrowlHelperApp in 
the Console and post it in this ticket.
