Framework related crash on a clean system #173

I installed a clean copy of 10.6.5 on a new SSD and attempted to launch 
Mail.app using my old home directory.  The end result was that GAB couldn't 
find a reference to Growl and subsequently crashed Mail.app.  This is using 
current source in the growl repository.
