Users need a way to view recent Growl notifications #78

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
History:

- Should be powered either by Core Data or by one or multiple plist files
- Should allow users to set either or both of two limits: Number of
notifications; number of minutes'
worth (default: 5 minutes, unlimited count)
- Should allow users to turn off history for specific applications
- Should allow users to set different counts for specific applications (esp. if
they are spammy)

UI possibilities:

- GrowlMenu
- An app with a Rolodex-style UI
- An app with a table view

We're looking to add it to 2.0. Otherwise, when we have things to report we'll
put them in here.

This will be in 1.3,
It is powered by CoreData, and is kept in sync between GHA, GrowlMenu, and the
preference pane
Has user settable limits for count or age (in days)
Per notification setting for whether to log (default to yes)

Preference Pane has the full history viewer
GrowlMenu has a list of the 5 most recent notifications, with click through to
the preference pane log viewer
When the user goes away, a rollup of the notifications that happened while they
were away comes up

This is in. We need to focus on specifics of rounding rollup out now. Specific
tickets should be filed.

Good work. Closing ticket.
