iOS 8.1 crash at launch #314

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Crash at launch
2. loading...(followed by black screen and crash)
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Can confirm this on iOS 8.1, iPhone 6 Plus.

Confirmed on IOS 8.1 , iphone 5.  "loading..." and then gone.

Confirmed - ios 8.1 ipad 3. Shows loading then back to home

Thanks everyone.  Next steps is for someone to apply a fix -- no more 
confirmations are necessary.

Volunteers welcome.  I don't own an iphone or ipad.

I have an iPhone 5 and iPad 2 that I'd be glad to test it for you. I have Xcode 
so I could debug if it comes to that.
