OpenCL branch of Bullet #458

Hello,

Is there a plan of enhancing the OpenCL branch of the Bullet, like porting it
to Linux, 64bit Windows? It will be a pleasure to make the tests of such ports.
I tried to use the branch (at Windows 7 32bit), but I coincided some
difficulties, and some runtime failures. My platform may be not suitable yet
though, I will check it. It will be a great help for me and I think for many if
you could emphasis on this branch too.

Best regards,
pH0@d

The plan for OpenCL rigid body support as shown seen in the OpenCL branch is
something we are still discussing. The current state of it is experimental
rather than production.

However, I have just committed some further updates to the OpenCL cloth support
to include interop with OpenGL. This aspect of OpenCL support is very much in
production code.

Yes, I saw it recently that there are some OpenCL support at the main branch
and also examples. I tested your code at Linux and Windows. It works very well.
In fact, I was planning to make my project using CUDA, but looking at your
code, I noticed that using OpenCL is good enough and may be better also;
because of the other benefits like ability to run the functions on GPU or CPU.

So, thank you very much Bullet Developers. It seems I will use your OpenCL
implementations and appreciate it.

Keep up the good work.

We are gradually improving OpenCL support in Bullet trunk, and might move parts
of the branches/OpenCL in trunk after some testing/work. Let's remove this
issue, as it is not specific enough.

Thanks for the interest!
