DSM 7.2 Is out. support needed

Use Auxxilium Techs ARPL Fork, works with 7.2 actual Release.

I'd better had to use ARPL Original, but had no chance and went to that.

Not OP but thanks, was looking for a good alternative. So Auxxilium is working fine for you so far?

kaneske commented 1 year ago

Yes does, it's definitely based on this as a Fork, has some other "Features" implemented.

For my Rig as a 3622xs+ with 2 LSI 2008 and 10G NIC on Promox it does fine.

Had a few Struggles, they went away with Version 53 of ARC.

@fbelavenuto hopefully gets his Version up for 7.2-Release so we can use the Original in the Future.

I really appreciate his Work!

Thanks. Yes I agree, @fbelavenuto ARPL has been amazing coming from TCRP, much less configuration.

https://github.com/AuxXxilium/arc but i'm not having luck getting it to boot into loader, just loops back into loader config.

Just installed AuxXxilium's ARC with DSM 7.2 in VBox to test and it worked GREAT! Next I'm going to test doing an update to 7.2 from fbbelavenuto's ARPL in VBox and then copy the AuxXxilium vmdk that I setup over to that VM and see if it will boot it. If it does then transitioning over to DSM 7.2 when it's final release comes out should be doable on ARPL 7.1.1 setups without losing data.

6/3/2023 - So the above test did work...sort of. When I used the Auxxilium virtual drive with the updated ARPL VM, it wouldn't give me an IP, so I tried the MAC Address of the Auxxilium VM and then I was able to log into the ARPL DSM. The issue I had was that File Station was no longer working and had "Repair" next to it in Package Center. Clicking repair does not repair the program. The other issue is that there is no internet access so none of the other programs in package center even show up. Not sure how to fix these issues, so it looks like doing an update to an upgraded ARPL using a Auxxilium USB drive is good for testing at this point. For those with data they can not lose, best to wait for FB to update his loader for 7.2 support or go all in with Auxxilium and restore your backed up data.
