~"User Story" - Audit Backend

Overview

The backend of the system needs somewhat of an overhaul. This includes

  1. Evaluate appropriateness of API endpoints
  2. Increasing configurability
  3. Auditing validation checks
  4. Replacing with this "Helper" nonsense.
  5. Documentation (jsdoc?)

Backend swap is essentially complete. Nothing left to audit that has not been tasked out.
