font issues #44

Ok, not really an issue, more a choice of font remark.

The Garamond/Junicode combo has a good apostrophe except in mathjax; everything else is strange..

fbreuer commented 12 years ago
  1. The apostrophe is an issue with MathJax, I believe.
  2. The rest of the remark I did not quite understand. Would you care to clarify?
  3. Adding fonts is easy. If you know of good open source fonts that you would like to have added, please list them here.

Just type it -- or look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertical_bar -- in the first picture on the top right it's like the second representation, not the first. That's irritating when writing mathematics even though it's a standard representation.

I cannot reproduce this. On my system, the vertical bar always looks like the first representation, both in plain text and in math mode, using all fonts I tried.

Are you seeing this problem in math mode or for plain text? Do you see a similar problem in Firefox on your system?

Hm. It seems to be a linux problem -- Mac version is also fine.
