What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install MacType
2. Make sure it's actually in effect
3. Restart computer and uninstall MacType
4. Restart computer again and open Win8 start menu

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should be back to normal, instead the font looks very messed up

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
MacType 1.2012.0406.0 on Win8 RTM Enterprise

Please provide any additional information below.
Only uninstalled MacType because of a strange bug with the cursor where it
would look as if it were loading something constantly, then noticed this after
uninstalling. Hope these issues are fixed soon :)

This is kind of weird, because mactype does not affect DirectWrite when it's
not active , neither could it change your text background.
I'm now installed Windows8 RTM x64 on my PC with dev edition of mactype. I
haven't saw that scenario so far.

Actually I guess you can disregard this, I managed to get into the same problem
on a new install which had only gdipp installed after messing with the nVidia
control panel, sorry for wasting your time guys!
