Code list of "fishing" ports? #38

Is there an official UN code list of "fishing" ports derived from UNLOCODE (https://unece.org/trade/uncefact/unlocode)? It could be useful for some analysis, e.g., assess the distance between fishing grounds and unloading areas. Thanks

Thanks @manuchassot feel free to contribute it

I had a look indeed; We could attempt to get it from https://unece.org/trade/cefact/UNLOCODE-Download (filtering on fishing ports).

I've pushed a 1st attempt. I see there is spatial information, later I will try to make it a geospatial codelist by standardizing the coordinates they provide. Associations with other informations (country, subdivisions) should be handled in mappings

@manuchassot i've provided the spatialized codelist. Let me know if it's ok

Thanks manu. Will provide you asap with the example of the code list of fishing ports/landing sites used for the Port States Measures (PSM) in the IOTC area for cross-checking. This would be very useful for "industrial" fishing vessels landing/transhipping in "big" ports, and we need to see how far we can go with the definition of "industrial" and "big". The smaller, the better. I actually need to understand what is covered by PSM.
