Wants to know why candidate data is only through 12/31/2017 #5511

What were you trying to do and how can we improve it?

I wanted to see funding for each candidate as of today 3/29/18, but you are only showing as of 12/31/17

Candidate committees don't file on a daily basis. For most of them the last report they have filed with the FEC was their 2017 Year End thus the end date of 12/31/2017. They continue raising and spending but we won't have the data until they file their next report. The next scheduled filing is the April quarterly due on 4/15/2017 and it covers through 03/31/2017. Candidates who have been involved in special elections will have different end dates.
