What were you trying to do and how can we improve it?
I am trying to find every super PAC, or non-connected PAC, filed between certain dates. I used to be able to do this on class.fec.gov. I could also search by state. For instance, I could filter search results for all super PACs created in New Jersey from January 2019 to March 2019. This was a very useful function. But now that the classic website is down, I can't find a way to search that information on the new website.
On the new website I can look up newly created political committees, and I can filter them by "receipt date." But I can't figure out how to separate out specific types of committees or search them by geography. There are so many committees that this creates a crushing amount of information. My search committees filed between January 1 2020 and February 7 2020 brings up about 12,500 results.
Is there a way to narrow my results down to just one type of committee and one state? If not, please consider adding that function.
