BCF tempfile test race condition #40

Two of the tests were broken by using check=True for all the subprocess calls -- need to fix, in order to un-break the build. Likely some tempfiles are getting deleted too early.

i had accidentally closed (and please github do not automatically close it because I typed "closed") #38 instead of this one. this has been addressed now
