While testing out photometry notebook 01 (seeing profile), I noticed that it sometimes badly mis-estimates the position of the star (see screen cap below). The issue, as far as I can tell, is that the centroid-finding routines in photutils really require a fairly small cutout around the star. New test and fix coming tomorrow.
In the image below the cyan circle should be centered on the faint star -- it clearly is not.
