@federicoiosue Might I inquire about how this feature is coming along, seeing as four years have passed since the issue has been opened?

federicoiosue commented 6 years ago

@DMSalesman this issue is actually a placeholder, due to the fact that a Pro (paid) version of the app still doesn't exists. Im more focused on programming related tasks, hoping for good designer contributons about this topic.

KaKi87 commented 2 years ago

You're hoping that people will give it to you for free so that users will pay you for it ? 🤔

@KaKi87 I suppose you're referring to this affermation: long story short, yes, hopes don't cost a penny.

Elaborating a little more: ask RedHat or other open source company or private maintainers: contributors add value to a project getting back a better product. If some smaller details or features are not generally available due to business decisions doesn't remove value to the global project itself, but could allow the maintainer to offer all other free features to everyone.

Anyway, if I would just get back money from my work I'd have added ads, or just published the whole app as paid on Play Store, don't you think?

Is this still un roadmap? Would be a nice addition to this great app

federicoiosue commented 1 year ago

Hi there,

Yes it's still there! I worked mainly focusing on technical stuffs lately but the feature is still part of the roadmap. This will have to come after the version 7.x graphic overhaul anyway.

Yeah, this app really needs dark mode. I can't deal with the eye strain.

TLINDEN commented 3 months ago

Any news on that? I'd really appreciate it :)

Unfortunately, end-to-end encryption also means no widget...
