Bug with deleting SMS/MMS threads #269

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Delete SMS thread in SMS app

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Thread should be removed from list but isn't. I had a thousand of SMSes in
Inbox and a lot of SMS threads. When i trying to delete the thread application
doesnt delete it, it leaves thread on list and set the date in thread header to
01/01/1970.

What version of MiniCM you are using? On what device (x10mini, x8 - x10mini
PRO is NOT supported)?

What app(s) are involved in the problem?

SMS/MMS

Have you tried rebooting your device?

It doesn't help.

What is the adb logcat output when the problem accurs (see:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Logcat)

Please provide any additional information below.

Exact same problem here on my Galaxy S2, Android v2.3.5.

ADDITIONAL INFO: The problem seems to only appear when there's a mix of SMS/MMS
threads in the phone. If there are only SMS, the issue does not occur.

Same problem here.
Tons of threads I can't delete.
I wonder if this contributes to the unstability of my phone.

Solved.
Looked for an answer in xda and found it.
Backup sms/mms using backup app from ROM (mine is SE).
Then delete all threads and restore sms/mms.
"Bad" threads are gone.
