The fork button does nothing from a revision when editing in localStorage. This operation, a fork from history, should update the localStorage with the shortened journal.
Edits made to historical paragraphs are saved as new actions adding to the journal held in localStorage.
I have tested this by editing a page while not logged in to the origin server. The use case would be for someone using a teaching machine, like the MorseCode Plugin, available only on a server they do not own. Once should still be able to set back their local history so as to repeat lessons available to them.
