Cannot Reorder Feeds #2

Open ghost opened 11 years ago

ghost commented 11 years ago

Feature Request:

I would like to be able to reorder the feeds in my feed list - preferably via drag and drop.

benubois commented 11 years ago

Agreed.

marwal83 commented 11 years ago

Yes - please! Either grouping of feeds in folders (not just like the current tagging feature), or reordering with renaming of feeds so that we can - for example - call feeds:

aviation - blah blah fun - failblog fun - wimp news - cnn.com news - bbc

Ageed: I would like to be able to reorder both feeds and ‘tag drawers’ (folders).

Also, it seems the sort order of feeds that is reported to Android apps such as Press doesn't match what I see at Feedbin's website. I'd like the order of both to be the same.

Currently the website order is alphabetical (good) but the order reported to Press seems random (and is maybe the same order I see when I export subscriptions.xml).

As a workaround until real reordering is implemented, I have found that the website at least respects the following prefixes. Apps using the API do so to some degree as well, but vary. Reeder for iPhone ignores a leading space, for example. I'm sure plenty of other prefixes exist, and additions are welcome if anyone else is using this approach. The numbers are the sort order.

  1. " "
  2. "^ "
  3. "_"
  4. A-Z (normal feed names)
  5. "Þ " (don't ask me what the symbol means)
