Feature Request: Additional keyboard shortcuts #62

One of the things I miss from Google Reader is the ability to navigate the feeds and the posts independently of each other. One issue I have with Feedbin is that when I'm navigating, I can't tell visually which context I am navigating in (ie, pressing left and right doesn't change any highlight, so you never know whether k will select the next feed or the next item).

It'd be nice if Feedbin adopted the Google Reader shortcuts here. j and k navigate the items, and J and K navigate the feeds. You have a highlight for the currently selected feed and item, like you have now. That'd also leave the arrow keys to navigating the content area, which I'd prefer too, but I might be alone in that one. :)

Agreed. Some extra key commands would help. h and l for 'left/right', or J and K for feed movement or something else. I'd like to go between me feeds just by using the keyboard.

Also, it'd be nice to have a sharing shortcut too. Hit m (or something), have the sharing menu open up, navigate with j and k, and hit enter on your selection.

Agreed. I'm missing some kind of visual indication of which column has the focus.

You can move back and forth between the feed and the article list by using the cursor keys though.

Agree on the keyboard shortcuts working in this manner. I would even be OK with h and l being able to navigate left/right, the use of the arrow keys is suboptimal.

Yes. Separate shortcuts for navigating the current items would be great

Without breaking the current shortcuts, could add n and p to change between the currently selected item (and j/k remain for changing the selected feeds)
