I thought it was one of my mods but it seems to be an ancient thing: using the desktop client, when accessing directly a track (i.e. don't use 'next' or 'previous' but click on say track 15 of queue), we receive a "pause" message and that's it. The track never plays. I don't see any message sent by Spotify controller.
When pressing later on that same track or another we just restart playback
