App crashing on first run - HTC One M8 #457

Device HTC One M8 Android 6.0

The app ran the installation to completion and then crashed. After that app crashes when you try to launch it. log captured from adb logcat is attached

Managed to get get it working with a different ROM. I flashed Lineage OS with Android 7.1.1 and ran Octo4a installation with success. I can now load Octoprint UI and the serial port is detected and works. So I guess for your device, if you are running into problems, then try a different ROM. For me higher versions of android did not work.
