I am Kanishk Gautam, an undergraduate, I am aiming for GSOC'20. Can I work on this?

gfenoy commented 4 years ago

Dear Kanishk Gautam, it is nice to hear that you are interested in pursuing this task. If you use the gsoc branch from the original repository then it is a working version of the solution. Some issue has been avoided but are remaining. Still this work has been integrated in the MapMint project.

In case you are interested in doing something else for the MapMint project during this year GSoC, please contact us back..

Thanks a lot! I am willing to work on MapMint project this year for GSOC. Can you please assign me some initial tasks, so that we can work on the proposal for this year.

Sorry for so late reply, I would be very much interested in getting a tool to browse over a list of available polygons where that we have investigated with a drone. From the viewer (available from the MapMint Client or Admin modules, not sure yet) user can first see all the covered georeferenced image from OpenDroneMap, the polygon corredponding to the raster should be clickable, then a window or a popup is show to offer the capability to open another tab or embedded UI to display present textured objects outputed by the OpenDroneMap run (basically odm_textured_model.obj).

This idea should obviously be detailed a bit more but looks very interpreting for the project and is a new need for the coming year. Hence, I feel it is a very good opportunity to use this year GSoC to handle this work.

I hope to her back from you.

Side-note: would be better to communicate using mail addresses, I think.

Hi

I am really sorry for the late reply, was busy writing a paper. I am interested in doing this project. Is it still available?
