Installer too silent #121

Just installed the 1.6.1.13 devel RC5 and was confused by no words from the installer. Also, (maybe a separate issue) there's no entry in Start menu.

I'm linux user, i love silent or atleast non-interactive installs. Do you like spending time on clicking "Continue", "Ok", "Install", "Close"? :)

Take it with a pinch of salt.

I understand you. I'm a linux user, too. But "When in Rome(, do as the Romans do)." And Romans (windows/.NET guys) usually do it with the /Quiet command-line option, if quietness is needed. Anyway, consider this just as a cosmetic enhancement idea. Thank you for great job with maintaining this project!

Still needs an entry in Start menu, or an option to make one, or some indication of successful installation.

I too was confused by silent installer. Thought it just failed. Had to search the C: drive for "winssh" to find where it was installed.

So +1 for more windows-like behavior of a windows installer.

Had to search the C: drive for "winssh" to find where it was installed.

Which was in C:\Program Files\WinSshFS, if anyone else gets stuck.

Linux guy over here too, but when I'm on Windows I expect to see more than a window flash when I install something. Usually that means something bad happened. ;)

I was confused by this too. I thought it failed D:

" silent installer" I am ok with that. But after installtion, I can't find the entry of WINSSHFS in Start menu. There is ton of files in my drive c: , I think searching it is not a good idea. Until saw the comments here, I noticed it was installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\WinSshFS..

A shortcut is created on Desktop. You can right-click and choose Pin to Start Menu, or Pin to Taskbar, or drag and drop to Start Menu,
