Purple-windows after system idling on macOS #1074

Open exetico opened 1 year ago

Avoid duplicates

Ferdium Version

6.2.4

What Operating System are you using?

macOS

Operating System Version

macOS 13.2.1 (Ventura)

What arch are you using?

arm64 (including Apple Silicon)

Last Known Working Ferdium version

N/A

Expected Behavior

After I wake up my device, Ferdium should work as normal

Actual Behavior

Ferdium just shows a green (Purple with default theme colors) screen. I'm not able to get it out of the state. The only hot-fix, is to simply close the application, and open it again. I cant even open the "About Ferdium" window or similar. The macOS top menu-items in the tray are working as expected.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Ferdium and sign in to a service
  2. Bring the device to sleep - 12 hours or so
  3. Open the laptop again and give the MacBook Pro your login (cause it's in a locked screen state)
  4. See the full color screen in Ferdium with no other information

The same issue but it's purple (default Ferd theme) for me. Is your theme customized to green?

@EducatedBernie Oh, good thought there. Yes it is 👍.

I can also report that it didn't happend today. I'm not sure if it only happens if I minimize Ferdium before the system is going into the idle-state, but maybe that's somewhat related.

I'm still having issues, but just not sure how to re-create it. I'm on the Arm-64 version as well.

Same here. I just tried to inform the devs that it's not every time 👍.

Same issue here. I am using an external monitor with multiple virtual desktops. I keep Ferdium on the internal MacBook screen. When I wake up the device Ferdium is on my external screen, minimized in frozen state. Not sure if that is relevant though.

For me, the issue seems to have stopped since quite a while. Not sure when and why (MacOS Update? Ferdium Update?), so I cannot give any hints, sorry :(
