Expected Behavior

Rather than clicking a link in Whatsapp, sometimes I need to drag the link into a different browser, different from my default browser.

When clicking and dragging a link into a browser (have tested Chrome and Firefox), it should open that link in that window/app.

Actual Behavior

The link will open in that window, but then the app freezes and you are unable to click on anything in WhatsApp. Only fix is to restart Ferdium completely.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Whatsapp
  2. Click and drag a link from a chat into a browser window
  3. Try and use Whatsapp again, you aren't able to click on anything

Would like to second this as well. It's Discord for me though. I drag links from a chat or message into another window and when I go back to Ferdium, nothing is clickable on that tab/service.

Interestingly, it only happens on the tab where the dragged link is from, I can switch to other tabs and use them just fine. I can refresh/reload the "frozen" tab and it seems to be working fine (animations/GIFs are moving) so I don't think it's actually frozen. I just can't click on anything, so probably some transparent overlay is showing up when a link is being dragged and is causing this?

Thanks for all the great work you've done with Ferdium!
