no response, black screen

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.open ebookdroid to read a pdf, and open other programs.
2.tap ebookdroid icon on home screen
3. or switch to ebookdroid from other program

What is the expected output?
immediate response

What do you see instead?
it sometimes has no response in 2 and 3 steps, and black screen. have to be 
forced to close.

What version of the product are you using?
ebookdroid-1.5.3-dev-r1705.apk 

On what operating system?
Android 4.04

What device are you using?
Atrix 2

No log file in logs folder of the .org.ebookdroid in my phone.
I uninstalled the r1705 and installed previous 1.53 before r1705.
I'm afraid that the log file does not exit yet.

Also affects v1.5.3 (from Google Play) on Asus TF300T with android 4.1.1

I checked the logs folder, and the only file available is from 07/10/2012. I 
think I was still using the previous version, without this bug, then.

Also, I've notified the bug through android error report feature.
