I have a Lenovo Yoga I use Feron on.. and it is great.. I don't use it as a tablet but I opened the screen over to show the tablet function and after that after logging into the system the keyboard will not work.. even plugging in an external keyboard did not function. The "onboard keyboard" also did not work. I had to re-install and am writing this with the same machine. From research I found that there is kernel bug in ubuntu that when the system things it is a tablet it will stop recognizing the keyboard. I tried to disable the tablet mode in the input section but there was no way to do that. I tried a bunch of things from the internet but none worked.
If indeed there is an issue in that the OS thinks the systems is a tablet.. there should be a way to go back to laptop mode. There are many systems that can emulate a tablet and in effect both of these modes should be supported for these systems.. or if not.. simply do not allow for a tablet mode at all .. if you can't switch back and forth and you are crippled by no keyboard.. better not support tablet mode or simply make that determination at install time.
