Xdocreport support for Excel spreadsheets #369

I searched Xdocreport specification for its support for Excel spreadsheets and 
.ods aka OpenOffice spreadsheets. I didn't find any such information related to 
spread sheets. Cloud you please confirm on this.

Xdoc version : docxandvelocity-1.0.3  
operating system :Windows XP SP3

XDocReport supports a very basic support only for ods (just replace a $name is 
a cell field) in the project

On otherwise it's not really interesting.

I'm not very motivated to support excel because http://jxls.sourceforge.net/ 
seems very powerful (never played with it). I would like to avoid reinventing 
the wheel, that's why I have not worked on the excel support.

More excel doesn't support mergefield, so it's very hard to manage it with 
Velocity/Freemarker.
