The Production Operations Management System (POMS) is a project designed to provide a service to assist production teams and analysis groups of experiments in their MC production and DATA processing.
In case a of chained stages when the dependent stage is automatically submitted by POMS, it expects a dataset in the form poms_depends_<parent_submissionID>_<index> to exist, this will be used as input for the dependent stage jobs.
This is a feature request where in case users provide their own SAM dataset for the stage through the POMS GUI, it would use this SAM dataset as input for the dependent stage jobs, eventually using the split type if set.
Currently this is the behavior we have when the dependent stage is submitted by hand.
