I'm running into an issue with a specific JPEG. Buffer is throwing Invalid JPEG because one of the markers is not in the jpeg apparently, but the JPEG appears to be perfectly fine when using img.src = data, so I'm not sure what's up beyond that.

This is not related to buffer, it holds binary data and does not know that data is JPEG. Your error is coming from somewhere else.
