Hi, I use this project in my Lab and I need to keep it alive. The first step is to take correction of some issues for example with WIT. After that i will transfert it to Python3. BR, Jérôme
The problem is that I would have liked to install Jarvis soon.
I appreciate to see a fork because I really like this project, and I hope it will never be forget.
But I'm really disappointed that Snowboy can't be used anymore, but then, is there an alternative we can use for Jarvis in French?
I guess Bing could do the trick, but it's limited to 5000 words per month, and it's full online, the advantage of Snowboy is that it's offline, which is great for security/privacy, and I guess also for fast orders.
Anyone know of an interesting alternative we could use? A tip, or a trick to make Snowboy work anyway, like a fork of the project (snowboy) that could be added to Jarvis?
Hello, i will work this week on snowboy. I try to do something for monday. BR, ferrader
Hello again, it's work with snowboy now. BR, Ferrader
You mean that if we install your fork instead of the original Jarvis, we can use snowboy as before, with a custom name and some custom quick command? How is it possible without the API key for snowboy?
The model training can be done locally
That's what he did I guess
Hello, I sorry, i don't see snowboy was shutdown. I will try to integrate it on jarvis. Ferrader
I fork snowboy to try to use it on Raspberry https://github.com/ferrader/snowboy_nextgen If you know some person interrested to help me don't hesitate. Ferrader
Hello. Thanks for your job. I'm not very experimented with this kind of job, but maybe I've found something which could help you.
https://github.com/seasalt-ai/snowboy
What's about this? If we install the original open jarvis, or your open jarvis next gen, and this version of snowboy on a raspberry, it could running, no?
We have to install snowboy on a computer, tu customize the wake word and some quick command, but after this, we have to copy-paste a file from the computer to the raspberry, and it should be perfectly running, am I right?
Again, I really like the work that Alex does on Open Jarvis, so it's really good to know it will be continued. ;).
Hello, Thanks you, i will try this clue. Currently i just finish to repair the part with wit.ai and plugin store because it's don't work on the original openjarvis. BR, Ferrader
I'm not very good in English, and not very good in AI installation, even if I'm confortable with computers, so I'm not sure to understand very well.
My project is to use Jarvis with Snowboy for local detection, and Bing for the command detection. (Because it's what is require, and i'm not a fan of Facebook... ;).
What is the difference if I install the original openjarvis, or yours? And how to install and use snowboy since they close the project, exacty? Is it something to do manually? Doing "git clone https://github.com/seasalt-ai/snowboy" for example?
And to create a custom detection, should I use the same link (seasalt), or is it better to do this : https://community.rhasspy.org/t/snowboy-wake-word-creator/2179
With a local website, if I'm not wrong...
If you have the knowledge to fork Jarvis, maybe you know how to make it run? Lol.
I'm sorry, it's not that I don't want to help, it's just that I don't know how to help... But maybe I can share this elements with you, and it will help you, at least, to help me to understand better what I have to do! Lol.
Thanks again for your contribution to this awesome project!
PS : I don't understand either your recommendations for install your fork :
rm -rf plugins/ chmod 755 jarvis.sh/
You have a exact copy of the original fork, but it's not require in this original project tuto install. Plugins are even necessary to have some options more, without that, Jarvis is really basic, no? So why deleted them, and change the acces rights? Thanks by advance!
Hi, I saw that you said you want to do this fork for your job, what exactly do you plan to do ?
