We should rename the dev/giss-gc-orig branch to something a little more descriptive, e.g., dev/2.1.2-12.9.3 to reflect the fact that it corresponds to modelE version 2.1.2 and GEOS-Chem version 12.9.3. Similarly, dev/giss-gc-14 could be renamed to dev/2.1.2-14.3.1.
Open to other suggestions!
Since we now plan to work on the branch at GEOS-Chem version 14.3.1, once that's set up, we can make a GISS2.1.2-GC14.3.1 release, with subsequent releases using the same naming scheme.
