Fixes some issues building on BlueHive. Note that it currently requires the NETCDF_C_HOME environment variable to be set. I tried putting this in ~/.modelErc but it didn't seem to get picked up.

Closing this PR because I can confirm that setting the GC_BIN, GC_F_BIN, GC_INCLUDE, GC_F_INCLUDE, GC_LIB, and GC_F_LIB environment variables correctly means these changes are not required. However, I opened https://github.com/fetch4/GISS-GC/issues/1 because it would be better if this were not required.
