Operating system & way of installation

Windows 10 Pro (latest updates). Installed (updated) through Pip.

Error/issue

I'm getting the errors "Unknown Motherboard" and "Unknown CPU". On the previous pip version I only had the unknown motherboard error. It seems like the Core 2 Duo detection has broken.

Other notes

On my laptop it's working fine now. At least last time I checked.

ghost commented 3 years ago

For now I'll just roll back to version 2.5.3, where the CPU was displayed correctly

MrPotatoBobx commented 3 years ago

does 2.7 work?

ghost commented 3 years ago

I can't find a release 2.7 so I assume the one from the code tab here? I'll see if that one works.

MrPotatoBobx commented 3 years ago

did it work?

ghost commented 3 years ago

image If I keep my mouse on the big question mark, it gives me the correct data. But no(t the correct) icon as you can see. Oh and the motherboard is hidden now, but it might need to be added in the HP list (for model, see original post)

MrPotatoBobx commented 3 years ago

can you send the debug info?

As I'm going through the old issues i saw this, does it works now ? I remember fixing something for core 2 duo at some point but dunno when. Also can I get the neofetch output, I'll add your motherboard.

ghost commented 3 years ago

It does report as a Intel Core(TM)2 Duo, but it does not show the icon.
