Exporting highlighted text (the text on which comment was placed) #1

Hi, I would like to ask, is it difficult or time consuming to allow the ExportComments extension to also export the highlighted text (text on which the comment was placed)?

This could be used e.g. for qualitative research https://youtu.be/TbjfpEe4j5Y (7:10), and there is similar macro for Word (https://www.thedoctools.com/word-macros-tips/word-macros/extract-comments-to-new-document/).

I am not (qualitatively) coding in LibreOffice Writer right now, but if it is not time consuming, such a feature of extensions could be helpful for other researchers, which want to code in Writer. It would be great if the comment content and commented text (maybe also author name) were in different paragraphs, or even better, separated by e.g. semicolon - to allow import to Calc table.

There was a guy, who started to create such a macro for OpenOffice, but probably did not finish (https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40883). Moreover, the similar macro was created for Calc: https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/168111/can-i-exportprint-a-list-of-the-comments-in-a-calc-spreadsheet/

Kind regards Andrzej

I heartily agree. That is really the missing feature of this plugin. Add to that, source page and line/paragraph number, some styling (to distinguish the quote, comment, and author), and voila something really useful. Almost makes me want to learn python.

Also, a bit of help in using the plugin in the readme would help. It took me a while to find the button in toolbar.
