Submit PAD file on software sites #228

Shapeshifter 5 became popular because we used Robosoft to submit it to thousands of software download sites. This requires a PAD file.

We already have a PAD file now at https://github.com/ffMathy/Shapeshifter/blob/master/pad.xml.

We should use Robosoft to submit this to the masses. This will give Shapeshifter 6 the same popularity that Shapeshifter 5 had in the beginning.

@thegabriestein I am thinking priority-wise it wouldn't make sense until we have a website, and a Patreon form though. Also, I believe fixing the most critical issues would be most important first. So feel free to prioritize it as you wish.

It has currently been submitted to http://repository.appvisor.com/ and is pending approval.

Last submission failed. Corrected the submission based on their feedback.

Apparently they require a company name for the submission, and it was rejected. Will try entering my personal name and see what happens.

If not, I will register a fake company just to be able to do this.

Note to self: Doing this in Chrome didn't work via their site - perhaps Edge or IE will be better.

I contacted AppVisor about the company name thing. In the meanwhile, I also submitted the software to Softonic which they apparently have a partnership with.

AppVisor has replied that a personal name is fine. However, their system is down. Waiting for reply from support.

Softonic rejected the submission. Need to claim ownership of the old Shapeshifter.

AppVisor has been revised.

Hmm, what do they expect? Old source codes? Or maybe you can send them a bill of the webhosting of flamefusion or something else linked to it.. Sad..

Ownership of Softonic app has now been completed. Surprisingly they didn't require any form of verification. Quite scary and unprofessional. I will soon resubmit my PAD to them.

As for AppVisor, that is still pending.

I can't submit a new PAD so I have contacted Softonic support to make some changes to the existing software.

I also published the latest Shapeshifter version for approval.

Shapeshifter is now live in Softonic. They still need to modify the information though.

AppVisor is still pending.

Stuff is submitted, but I want Shapeshifter to be more stable before we push the button. Pending release of current prerelease.
